Don Lemon pleads not guilty to charges related to church ICE protest coverage

Journalist Don Lemon, a former CNN anchor, faces charges under the FACE Act for his coverage of an anti-ICE protest, with a potential prison sentence of up to a year, according to Axios.
The charges, brought by President Trump's Department of Justice, have been criticized by press freedom and First Amendment advocates, who argue that Lemon was acting in his capacity as a journalist, not a participant in the protest.
Independent journalist Georgia Fort was also charged for covering the demonstration, where protesters disrupted a church service after learning a pastor was the acting director of an ICE field office, with Lemon stating he was "there to report, not to participate".
