Tom Homan declines to defend Kristi Noem after federal officers lied under oath

Thomas Homan, executive associate director for Enforcement and Removal Operations, told CNN's Jake Tapper that the Justice Department is responsible for investigating the shooting deaths, stating "that's a question for DOJ" and noting he won't comment on the investigations.
Homan claimed he has improved coordination with local authorities in Minneapolis, but Tapper pointed out that ICE and CPB have destroyed their credibility, citing examples of officers lying under oath, such as the case of two immigration agents who falsely claimed they were attacked with shovels and broom handles.
When confronted with these allegations, Homan dodged responsibility, saying he won't "let the media divide this administration" and instead highlighted his efforts to bring in more "internal affairs" staff to review allegations, but refused to comment on Secretary Noem's involvement or the ongoing investigations.
