Vote “No” to betrayal of San Francisco teachers’ strike! No more sacrificing livelihoods and social rights while billionaires feast!

The United Educators of San Francisco (UESF) and American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President Randi Weingarten have brokered a deal offering teachers a 2 percent wage increase in each of the next two years, and 8.5 percent for support workers over two years, which educators argue is an insult, citing the need for livable wages and quality public education.
The strike, which garnered massive community support, has pitted teachers against the Democratic Party, with former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie, and AFT President Randi Weingarten pushing for fiscal austerity, despite the city being home to around 100 billionaires, and educators arguing that the claim of no money is a lie.
Educators are calling for a vote of "No" on the contract, demanding instead a unified struggle for better wages, healthcare, and support for special education, linking their fight with the ongoing strikes of Kaiser Permanente nurses and technical staff, New York City nurses, and other sections of the working class, as they seek to challenge the ruling oligarchy's assault on public education and workers' rights.
